Wood Patio Furniture
When it comes to choosing dining sets and other furniture for the patio or terrace, a basic choice is what to have as the main material of construction. While resin is very popular, wood patio furniture is still very much in demand.
That is hardly surprising, as natural wood is both attractive and, if well chosen and cared for, long lasting.
Many types of wood are used in the manufacture of patio furniture, some of the most popular being teak, Western red cedar, Cypress, pine Eucalyptus and Brazilian cherry.
The patio dining set shown above, for example, is part of The Windsor range. This range is all hand crafted from Western red cedar and comes ready stained for durability and attractiveness. Other furniture in the range includes chaise lounge and an English style garden bench.
The Gardenia dining set (left) is made from Brazilian cherry, and comes in 4 or 6 seater sizes. This light wood looks very attractive on the patio, and especially by the pool as pictured. Also available in the Windsor range are patio chair, potting tables, and rectangular tables. An 8 seater extension table is also available.
For a really upmarket patio set, and for gourmet outdoor dining, the Gourmet patio set shown left is ideal. This is made from shorea, a beautiful and long lasting wood from SE Asia.
The table is extendable to seat up to 12, although only 6 chairs are included. You can, of course, buy extra chairs for that patio party you may be planning in the summer.
