Wrought Iron Patio Furniture
While much of the patio furniture available today is modern in both styling and materials of manufacture, there is still plenty of space for the more classical materials. Wood patio furniture is still very popular, but many people prefer the classical wrought iron patio furniture.
Wrought iron does have some advantages. Apart from the individual crafting that wrought iron furniture undergoes, and its stylish looks, it is also safe on windy days.
The use of wrought iron, indoors or out, always gives the opportunity for unique designs. Working with heavy wrought iron is a skill for craftsman only, and if you combine that craftsmanship with artistic design talents, you can end up with some very distinctive furniture designs.

The first picture is a fine example of the potential style of wrought iron when used on the patio. This deluxe set comes with an oval patio table, plus either 4, 6 or 8 high backed chairs. One thing I love about the use of wrought iron is the frequent use of curves, and this patio set is no exception. The chairs and table both incorporate curved wrought iron with elegance.
The bar stool and table set (left) are equally stylish and unique. The table top is a tiled mosaic, each one individually crafted. This set comes with two swivel bar stools, and cushions.
For those of you who are worried about rust with wrought iron, the iron is treated for long term rust resistance. First, it is soaked in zinc phosphate which prevents rust, and penetrates deep into the metal. Each frame is then electro-coated to create a permanent weather resisting coating.
The final picture is of The Manchego Dining Set. This is a beautiful and unusual patio set, again with a tiled table top. The styling is top class, as is the finish, and again the wrought iron is crafted in curves for full effect. This is just about the most attractive patio set I have seen.
